Privacy Policy

This policy covers every game and app published by Lonestar Games, and our websites. What each one uses depends on what it does — a writing app that never goes online uses less than a card game you play with friends — but everything any of them does is described here.

The short version

We don't show ads, track you, use analytics, or sell or share your data. What our products keep, they keep on your device. The only time anything leaves it is when you play with other people online, and then only what they need to see.

What stays on your device

Depending on the product:

• Your settings, your progress and your records.
• What you make: documents, projects, recordings and saved games, and any pictures you add to them.
• A name and a photo, if you choose them for a profile.
• If you sign in with Apple, the anonymous identifier Apple gives us, and your email address if you choose to share it, kept on your device to recognise you.

It stays there unless you use a feature described in the next section. If you export or share something you made, it goes only where you send it.

What leaves your device

Only when you play with other people online: your display name, your photo if you have chosen one (a small copy), your moves and anything you say in the game go to the game server so the other players can see them. The server holds them in memory for as long as the game lasts and stores none of it afterwards.

What we ask your device for

Some products ask the system for access, and use it only for the reason given:

• The microphone — only while you are recording, and the recording goes only where you save it.
• The local network — to find a game a friend is hosting on the same Wi-Fi.
• Your photos — we never ask for your photo library. If you choose a picture, the system's picker hands the app only that one picture.

We never ask for your location or your contacts.

What we don't do

• No advertising and no ad tracking.
• No analytics.
• No selling or sharing of your data with anyone.

Children

Our products are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

Everything a product keeps is on your device, so it is yours to delete: use the product's own delete option where it has one, delete the files you made, or remove the app. Nothing is kept on our side, so there is nothing to ask us for.

Our websites

lonestargames.net sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from anyone else's server. It and the web versions of our apps are hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub logs the IP address of every visit for security purposes, under its own privacy statement.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
